Frequently Asked Questions 

I have questions about my admissions or need to submit documents. Can I still come to campus for that?

Our One Stop counters inside the Student Services Building have moved to remote modalities. We are still available to help answer questions and provide updates regarding the admissions process.

Will my offer of admissions be affected?

The COVID-19 pandemic will not affect anyone's Admissions Offer. In fact, we have extended the deadline to accept admissions offers until June 1st, 2020. If you are ready to accept San Francisco State University and join the Gator family, go to your student center and follow the next steps.

Will orientation still take place in the summer?

As of right now, Orientation will still be offered for students in the summer. You can register for orientation starting April 1st, 2020 after accepting your admissions offer.

Who We Are

Student Outreach Services (SOS) coordinates the overall University outreach program. The SOS staff provides preadmissions information on the following (e.g. eligibility requirements, academic majors and post baccalaureate certificates, campus tours, information on housing and student life etc).
